Midway Hosts Event with Snoop Dogg
Midway Moving and Storage, the Windows of Opportunity organization and the Chicago Housing Authority teamed up with platinum-selling rapper Snoop Dogg to host the School is Cool Back-to-School event for students living in CHA properties.
The event, which Midway has sponsored for the last four years, promotes education and sports as an alternative to youth violence.
Snoop Dogg spoke to the children about the importance of staying in school and choosing sports instead of violence. He also announced his plans to bring the Snoop Youth Football League, which he founded in his home state of California six years ago, to Chicago next year. He then treated students to a free concert.

Other celebrity guests at the Back to School event included including football legend and Super Bowl XX MVP Richard Dent and former Chicago Bears linebacker Otis Wilson, who gave tips at the football clinic and shared words of encouragement. |
