CHICAGO FOOD DRIVE
Midway, the Official Chicago Moving Company of the Bulls (http://www.nba.com/bulls/) partnered with the Bulls and Vienna Beef (http://www.viennabeef.com/) to host a food drive on Saturday, March 12, benefiting the Greater Chicago Food Depository (http://www.chicagosfoodbank.org/site/PageServer).
Fans dropped off non-perishable food items at the United Center (http://www.unitedcenter.com/) admission gates prior to the Bulls’ home game against the Utah Jazz. Fans who couldn't attend the game also helped by purchasing food items or making a donation in the Virtual Food Drive (http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=bulls&StoreType=BtoC&Count1=278087794&Count2=195228219)
The Greater Chicago Food Depository feeds nearly 700,000 adults and children in Cook County ever year. The items they most need are high protein foods in unbreakable containers, along with baby food,
diapers and hygiene products.
Midway helped the Bulls raise more than 10,000 pounds of food for the 2010 Holiday Food Drive (http://www.nba.com/bulls/community/fooddrive_101208.html) . Hopefully we topped that in 2011 and fed even more Chicagoland families!
